Job summary

Prime Healthcare Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, IL is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for Nursing Float. The role involves assisting patients with daily activities and providing basic nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

This full-time night position operates 3-12 hour shifts with 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM scheduling. Educational and certification requirements include CNA certification and a minimum of six months acute care experience; preferred phlebotomy, EKG, and BLS

Qualifications

• Requires CNA certification and High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Phlebotomy and EKG certifications.
• BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office.

Schedule: Full-time nights 6:45p - 7:15a, 3-12-hour shifts

Location: Aurora, IL, 60506

Responsibilities

The Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.2. Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.3. Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current. 4. Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.5. Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office preferred.

Facility Specific Requirements (as applicable required):

6. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), State approved Certification required.7. High School Diploma or equivalent
