Job summary

Saint Joseph Medical Center - Joliet is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to support patients with activities of daily living and to provide basic nursing care under the supervision of the RN in charge. This is a full-time position scheduled days from 7a to 7p with weekend and holiday rotation.

Qualifications include a CNA state certification, high school diploma or equivalent, and preferred phlebotomy and EKG certifications plus BLS within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
