Job summary

Saint Joseph Medical Center - Joliet is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to aid patients with activities of daily living and provide basic nursing care under the direction of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and unit.

The role requires CNA certification, relevant healthcare certificates possibly including phlebotomy and EKG, and BLS within 30 days of hire. Candidates with acute care experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), State approved Certification required.
• Phlebotomy and EKG certifications preferred.
• BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• 1. Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
• 2. Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
• 3. Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• 4. Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• 5. Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
