Job summary

Mass General Brigham seeks a Patient Care Assistant for the Ellison 16 unit (General Medicine & Oncology). The role is part-time (20 hours weekly) with rotating day/evening/night shifts. You will assist patients with activities of daily living and monitor vitals under licensed staff guidance.

Position is onsite at 267 Charles Street in Boston. A $750 sign-on bonus is offered to eligible new employees hired in PCA positions, with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Licenses: Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred.
• Experience: 0–1 year in Patient Care preferred.
• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: effective communication with staff and patients; adherence to hospital policies.

Responsibilities

• Performs vital signs, weights/heights, intakes, and outputs with accuracy.
• Completes all documentation in the medical record as required.
• Interacts with patients and families effectively.
• Assists with activities of daily living (bath, dress, eat).
• Aids with turning/repositioning and moving between bed and wheelchair.
• Reports health concerns to nurses.
