Job summary

Mass General Brigham Incorporated's Endoscopy unit at 273 Charles Street in Boston is hiring a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) for the Blake Building. This onsite role offers 40 hours per week with day shifts and a $750 sign-on bonus for eligible new employees in PCA positions.

The PCA will assist with activities of daily living, monitor vital signs, document in the medical record, and support room turnover, scope cleaning, and patient transport under licensed personnel supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No.
• Licenses and Credentials preferred: BLS, CMA, EMT-B, LNA.
• Experience: 1–2 years in patient care preferred.
• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: lift up to 35 pounds; EMR proficiency; strong patient/customer service.

Responsibilities

• Performs vital signs, weights/heights, and intake/output with accuracy.
• Completes medical-record documentation.
• Interacts with patients and families effectively.
• Assists with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, eating).
• Assists with turning and repositioning patients and moving between bed and wheelchair.
• Reports health concerns to nurses.
