Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Student Patient Care Assistant for the Ellison 16 unit in the General Medicine & Oncology area at 267 Charles Street, Boston. This onsite, part-time role supports licensed staff by assisting patients with daily living activities and basic monitoring under supervision.

You will perform vital signs, document in the medical record, help with hygiene and mobility, and communicate patient needs to the care team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 0–1 year patient care experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs vital signs, weights/heights, intake and output with accuracy.
• Completes documentation in the medical record as required.
• Interacts effectively with patients and families.
• Assists with basic hygiene tasks and activities of daily living.
• Assists with turning/repositioning and mobility with beds/chairs.
• Reports health concerns to nurses.
