Job summary

Sanford Health in Canton-Inwood Medical Center is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide patient-centered care and daily living assistance. The role involves 12-hour rotating shifts, interaction with patients of all ages, and contributing to a small Critical Access facility.

Responsibilities include basic health care tasks, vital signs, and supporting the RN or LPN under supervision, with emphasis on safety and compassionate care in line with rural healthcare goals.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is preferred.
• If in ND, must be on the ND Nurse Aide Registry upon training completion or within 4 months.
• If in WI, must be on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry or be a student nurse with relevant clinicals.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily living assistance and basic health care needs, including bathing, grooming, toileting, eating and meal prep.
• Administer delegated tasks and treatments; record vital statistics.
• Collect non-invasive specimens and perform clerical tasks related to scheduling and documentation.
• Prepare and clean treatment areas and equipment; dispose of biomedical waste.
• Maintain patient living areas; provide one-on-one care when necessary.
