Advocate Health in Milwaukee seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to support nursing staff in daily patient care, including hygiene, feeding, and mobility. You will document vitals, intake/output, and weights in the EMR, and participate in admissions, transfers, and discharges under RN supervision.

The ideal candidate has a GED or HS diploma and is a Nurse Aide in good standing. BLS certification is required within 45 days.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills to document in EMR and other systems.
• Excellent oral and written communication for patient/family interactions.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to set priorities in a clinical environment.
• Teamwork and collaboration with RN and healthcare team.

Responsabilités

• Assist RN with daily patient care: bathing, hygiene, feeding, ambulation, and transfers.
• Record and document vitals, intake/output, daily weights in EMR.
• Perform rounding and communicate patient observations to RN.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges, set up rooms, and manage belongings.
• Collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing as directed.
• Run errands, restock nursing area, and maintain cleanliness of equipment.
• Assist with patient positioning and transport, monitor nutrition needs.
• Maintain skin integrity and use compression devices as ordered.
• May remove IVs and assist with post-mortem care per RN guidance.
• Follow infection prevention policies and age-appropriate care.
