Concord Hospital Health System is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator to support clerical and patient customer service needs as part of the care team. The HUC links providers, staff and departments via fax, phone and computer, reporting to the unit supervisor.

We require a high school diploma or equivalent; no certification is required and no prior experience is necessary. The role emphasizes coordination, communication and precepting new staff within a dynamic hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience not required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates patient and information flow at the desk area to clinical staff, patients/families and other departments.
• Completes order entry process and coordinates computer downtime and patient information changes.
• Handles incoming and outgoing communication for the department.
• Prepares and dispositions charts according to HIMS specifications.
• Maintains departmental supplies and ensures functioning equipment are available for use.
