Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Patient Account Representative to support the Luminis Health Clinical Enterprise Professional Business Office (PBO). You will manage the claims process, review charges, submit primary and secondary claims, and follow up with insurers and patients to maximize revenue while upholding HIPAA standards.

Responsibilities include using Epic EHR and standard billing workflows, resolving denials, responding to patient inquiries, arranging payments, and helping improve revenue

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–4 years of multi-specialty billing experience, including ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Epic EHR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the claims process, including charge review, creation, submission, and follow-up with payers and patients.
• Submit clean primary and secondary claims per payer specs and audit for accuracy.
• Perform denial and remittance analysis to resolve recurring issues and improve cash flow.
• Respond to patient inquiries, explain balances and payment options, and maintain HIPAA/PHI compliance.
• Support operational efficiency through standard workflows and accurate documentation.
