Job summary

Lifepoint Health is seeking a Patient Financial Services Representative to support hospital billing and claims processing. The role focuses on insurance claims submission, timely follow-up, and accurate billing for patient services.

As part of the Health Support Center, you will manage Medicare denials, maintain logs, and handle complex coding and billing issues to optimize cash flow and ensure timely reimbursements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 4 years in Insurance Billing/Follow up required.
• Coding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Processes insurance claims for patient services and follows up to ensure timely payment.
• Works Medicare refusals and CMS rules with accuracy.
• Maintains Denial Logs and Bad Debt logs and supports appeals as needed.
• Explains charges and payer coverage to patients; answers inquiries about bills.
