Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in medical billing.
• Working knowledge of billing systems and EPIC/OCHIN EPM.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Review and apply pending charges in the EPM system.
• Modify charges on patient accounts per coder recommendations.
• Serve as billing liaison for coders.
• Bill claims weekly from the billing system.
• Run reports to ensure timely billing of all claims.
• Post payments and denials weekly.
• Assist with follow-up duties as assigned by Team Leader.
• Run EPIC/EPM reports to ensure timely processing.
• Reconcile end-of-month payer reports.
• Answer questions from patients via phone queue.
