Job summary

NYU Langone Health in Nevada is seeking a Customer Service Representative II to be the frontline contact for patients’ balances, benefits, and insurance questions. You will handle inbound calls and electronic messages, follow scripts, and use independent judgment to resolve inquiries with empathy and professionalism.

You will collaborate with colleagues to maintain billing workflows, enter data in Epic and CRM, and ensure timely resolutions while upholding patient confidentiality and compliance

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 2 years in customer service or related duties.
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 used in medical billing.
• Strong English usage, grammar and spelling.
• Ability to pass a Customer Service scenario assessment.
• Experience in call center or inbound/outbound calls preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle billing questions via calls or messages and document in CRM.
• Submit bills, contact insurance, and follow up on open issues.
• Maintain high levels of patient satisfaction through professional communication.
• Escalate complex issues as needed and assist teammates.
• Adhere to policies, timelines and privacy regulations.
