Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong critical thinking and effective listening skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Epic Systems experience preferred.
• Microsoft Office experience preferred.
• Experience in healthcare revenue cycle / professional billing is preferred.
• Team oriented with adaptability to change.

Responsibilities

• Perform billing tasks including calling and logging data in CRM; process payments and follow up on issues.
• Provide input on processes and policies to reduce call volume and improve patient satisfaction.
• Handle daily tasks in assigned work queues and follow manager directions.
• Identify credentialing issues and address with management.
• Escalate or de-escalate complex issues as needed; apply training in medical coding as required.
• Enter notes in Epic CRM and other systems using standard formatting.
• Review unpaid balances and make outbound follow ups according to protocols.
• Ensure timely resolution of items in assigned queues per payer websites and systems.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with providers, coders, and third-party payers to ensure accurate processing.
