Intermountain Health in Utah seeks a Billing Specialist responsible for billing, follow-up, and resolving issues that delay or prevent payment of patient accounts within Intermountain's policies. You will assist teammates with escalations and maintain accuracy in postings.

The role requires at least three years of medical billing experience, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with payment postings in multiple systems.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Medical Billing payment posting.
• Experience with patient account systems and payment postings preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Identify payment details and post payments to patient accounts in electronic and manual systems.
• Balance payments to deposits and ensure postings match expected totals.
• Follow up per procedures to resolve accounts and post denials or adjustments as needed.
• Train and mentor new associates and serve as SME within the department.
• Communicate with internal/external partners and payers via calls, messages, or in-person.
