Job summary

The role requires basic PC skills, experience in collections or healthcare customer service, and knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid/Commercial payers. Strong interpersonal skills and accuracy are essential.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent.
• One year of collection, customer service in a collection or healthcare environment.
• Basic PC experience, 10-key calculator, keyboarding, and use of other office machines such as copier, fax, etc.
• Knowledge of third-party payers - Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial insurance.
• Outstanding people skills, including telephone technique, personal appearance, organization skills, communicable skills (oral and written).

Responsibilities

• Manage all account follow-up with parties involved in resolution.
• Meet with patients or family members to address billing and payment questions or concerns.
