UC Santa Barbara is seeking a Billing and Insurance Supervisor within Student Health Services. The role oversees patient billing, insurance administration, and third-party reimbursement, reporting to the Director of Revenue and Insurance Operations.

You will supervise a 4 FTE team and ensure compliant, efficient billing workflows on campus. Responsibilities include chargemaster oversight, coding reviews, audits, and collaboration with campus partners to optimize revenue cycles while maintaining

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, or equivalent work experience.
• 4-6 years medical billing experience.
• Knowledge of billing and health insurance administration, preferably in Student Health.
• Proven supervisory experience over billing staff.
• Ability to analyze billing data and recommend changes.
• Strong problem-solving and research skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of medical records and PHI.

Mansioni

• Oversee patient billing operations and third-party reimbursements.
• Manage SHIP operations and enrollment reconciliation.
• Direct and develop billing and insurance staff (4 FTE).
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and payer regulations.
• Lead third-party billing strategy and special projects.
