The position requires an associate degree or equivalent with about 5 years of relevant billing experience. Strong supervisory skills and knowledge of health insurance are preferred.

• Associate degree or equivalent required.
• 5 years of relevant experience in billing, accounts or insurance.

Responsabilidades

• Educates staff on billing policies to promote efficient billing flow.
• Counsels patients on financial and other accounts-related issues.
• Advises department managers on collection issues that arise.
• Handles missing charge ticket lists and generates tickets as needed.
• Works with pharmacy for pricing when not available in system.
• Monitors and reports monthly collection totals for the department.
• Advises on diagnoses, prices and charges for special batches.
• Participates in staff recruitment, training, and supervision.
