Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Collections/ Billing Representative to support the Physicians Billing Group under the Billing Manager. You will manage billing, collections, and customer service actions with a focus on Medicare, Medi-Cal, and commercial insurance guidelines.

The role emphasizes reviewing, coding, and submitting clean claims, collecting outstanding balances, and maintaining collaboration with departments across UCI Health to optimize revenue.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical professional fee billing for Medi-Cal, Medicare, MSI, Champus and commercial insurance carriers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to review patient accounts and effectively bill and collect revenue.

Responsibilities

• Edit billing error reports prior to submission to ensure claims are clean and reimbursed promptly.
• Collect on insured invoices with balances as generated and outlined on AR worklists and aging reports.
• Maintain effective relationships across the Health System and meet monthly productivity standards.
