Qualifications

• Graduate of high school preferred.
• Two years customer service and/or collections experience.
• Knowledge of reimbursement practices for commercial and government payers preferred.
• Medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Explain insurance coverage and payment options to patients.
• Establish and follow up on payment plans.
• Review and post payments, keep accurate patient accounts.
• Counsel patients on balances, services costs, and insurance resources.
• Communicate with physicians and care teams regarding billing issues.
