You will collaborate with Revenue Cycle staff to improve collections, assist patients with financial aid applications, and provide compassionate, professional service while protecting patient privacy under HIPAA and relevant policies.

Responsibilities

• Review self-pay encounters for accuracy prior to generating patient statements.
• Review documentation to ensure discounts are applied, including Sliding Fee Scale proofs.
• Make billing corrections and account adjustments to ensure accurate balances.
• Validate patient financial information and maintain accurate self-pay account records.
• Request, collect, scan, and upload documentation for financial assistance.
• Review patient accounts to ensure compliance with financial assistance policies.
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding balances, benefits, and financial responsibilities.
• Educate patients about available financial assistance programs and eligibility requirements.
• Assist patients in completing financial assistance applications and collecting required documentation.
• Coordinate payment arrangements with Patient Account Resolution Specialists.
• Answer calls related to billing, balances, and payment plans with professionalism.
