Job summary

Community Health of South Florida, Inc. in West Kendall, Miami, is seeking a Patient Financial Services Specialist responsible for accurate processing of billing and encounter forms and coordinating with patient care areas to maintain workflow.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, CPR certification, knowledge of Medicaid/Medicare, and clerical skills including typing 20–30 wpm. Experience with Intergy and patient services is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• ICD-9 coding experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Medicaid/Medicare Insurance, collections, and setup.
• CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Register new client on Intergy per guidelines.
• Research files for prior enrollment in CHI system.
• Renew or update existing client profiles per guidelines.
• Perform financial screening on active clients.
• Process patient payments and balance daily batches.
• Verify Medicare, Medicaid and other insurance carriers.
• Adhere to HIPAA Regulations and complete duties on time.
