Job summary

Community Health Of South Florida Inc in West Kendall, Miami, is seeking a Patient Financial Services Specialist to ensure accurate billing and smooth data flow between patient care areas and Data Processing. You will register clients, verify enrollment, and manage financial screening for services.

The role requires high school education, familiarity with Medicaid/Medicare, and strong clerical and communication skills. A non-exempt, hourly position with daily cash posting duties is offered.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: A minimum of High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. ICD 9 Coding experience preferred. Experience with Patient Services. Must have knowledge of Medicaid / Medicare Insurance, collection and setup.

Responsibilities

• Register new client on Intergy as per guidelines issued by Community Health of So. Florida.
• Researches files for previous enrollment in CHI computer system before creating a new medical record number.
• Re-new or update existing clients profiles as per guidelines issued by Community Health of South Florida.
• Performs financial screening on active clients who have requested services from Community Health of South Florida, Inc.
• Check-in clients for needed medical services.
• Check-out clients upon receiving medical services.
• Process of patient payments.
• Review and balance out daily batches.
• Submit daily journal to assigned supervisor.
• Submit cash and copies of daily batches to the Accounting Department for deposit.
