Job summary

Foundation Health’s Denali Center near Fairbanks, AK, is seeking a billing and collections coordinator to manage patient billing, payments, and AR activities across assigned areas, ensuring timely reimbursement.

Located next to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital, Denali Center is a 90-bed facility offering compassionate care. You will coordinate with staff and physician offices, research payments and denials, and help reduce AR while providing excellent service to patients and providers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Process payments, adjustments, claims, correspondence, refunds, denials, financial/charity applications, and/or payment plans accurately and timely.
• Reconcile balances and pursue accounts receivable and denials with payers and company policies.
• Research payments and denials to determine short/over payments and contract discrepancies; make corrections as needed.
• Build strong working relationships with internal units and provider offices; educate and assist internal customers.
• Respond to inquiries and provide excellent customer service to patients and other customers.
• Work as part of the patient financial services team to reduce Accounts Receivable balances.
• Use systems to document and communicate with payers and prepare issue lists.
