Job summary

University Behavioral Health of Denton in Denton, Texas is seeking a Patient Account Representative/Collector to manage billing, follow-up and collections for assigned patient accounts, communicating with patients, insurers and third-party payers to resolve balances.

This full-time role reports to the Texas Business Center and features a $1,000 sign-on bonus with a 1-year commitment, competitive pay and robust benefits including medical, dental, vision, a 401(k) with company match, and tuition

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in a health care collections or related field, or any combination of education, training, or experience in a health care business office environment.
• Experience with insurance billing, computer and business software programs (Excel) preferred.
• This position may require flexible hours, to include overtime.

Responsibilities

• Provide account and billing information to patients, insurance companies and/or collection agencies
• Control collection efforts of accounts in an organized, professional, and efficient manner
• Analyze accounts to determine correct insurance payment based on contract rate and patient's share.
• This position reports daily to the Texas Business Center located at: 5800 N-I35, Suite 505, Denton, Texas 76207.
