Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma (or equivalent).
• Experience working in a medical billing setting.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience working with authorizations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary contact for patient invoices, payment options, and billing details and questions.
• Initiate outbound calls to clients regarding outstanding balances, insurance issues, and coordination of benefits.
• Assist in heavy inbound calls and emails.
• Assist in verifying insurance eligibility and coverage details prior to and after services.
• Maintains updates to the benefits tracker and patient charts.
• Utilizes Central Reach and Insurance Portals.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and organizational privacy standards when handling patient information.
