You will handle charging, posting payments, and coordinating with patients, practices, and insurance carriers, ensuring accurate coding and timely follow-ups. The ideal candidate has at least three years of billing experience, strong attention to detail, and knowledge of payer rules (Medicare/Medicaid).

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of billing experience in a multi-specialty group practice.
• Current knowledge of third-party rules and regulations.
• Ability to accurately analyze and identify errors.
• Experience in physician coding, billing and registration.
• Attention to detail is essential.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and maintaining patient billing accounts.
• Totaling, batching and entering charges for physician activity.
• Posting patient and third party payments to accounts in the IDX system.
• Sends claims to patients and third-party insurers.
• Handles billing inquiries from patients and payors.
• Reviews claim edits and ensures proper registration data.
• Assists with training of assigned staff and other duties as assigned.
