Universal Health Services Atlantic Region Central Billing Office is hiring a Patient Accounts Specialist to handle first-line inquiries about patient accounts from patients and insurers. You will document questions, provide timely responses, and collaborate with facility staff to resolve issues.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent and 1-3 years customer service experience preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Customer-focused with attention to detail; strong 10-key data entry, and excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
• Familiarity with customer service and 1-3 years healthcare business office experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Document all inquiries concerning patient accounts including patient and third party payers.
• Act as the first line of support to patient or third party payer contacting the facility with questions concerning an account or claim.
• Root cause issues and attempt to resolve.
• Document and communicate resolution in the Patient Accounting System.
• Escalate problem accounts to management for assistance and resolution.
• Clearly communicate resolution of issues to responsible parties and guarantors on the account.
• Respond within 24 hours to patient inquiry with updates on status or resolution.
• Work with facility and internal departments to investigate and resolve issues related to patient or insurance inquiries.
• Maintain working knowledge of the call routing system and patient accounting system.
• Other duties as assigned.
