The incumbent will work to uphold compliance and professional standards, reading and interpreting coding terminologies (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) and staying current with healthcare regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; two years hospital billing experience preferred.
• Associate degree in healthcare billing or related business degree may substitute.
• Typing speed of 45 wpm in a Windows environment.
• Ability to read and interpret ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding terminology and understand healthcare insurance/government regulations.

Responsibilities

• Complete billing process accurately and timely for designated group of accounts by payer classification or other method.
• Safeguard hospital through compliant conduct and accurate information on claims.
