Job summary

The Specialty Care Clinic in Athens, GA seeks a Patient Financial Coordinator to support Ryan White eligibility and enrollment into ADAP, HICP and other patient assistance programs. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to process applications and ensure compliance with program requirements.

Primary duties include benefits counseling, collecting documents for eligibility, assisting with Open Enrollment plan applications, and maintaining CareWare and DataRx to track eligibility and

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED with 3 years related experience
• Alternate: 1 year experience at Admin Assistant 1 GST050 or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Provide benefits counseling and obtain/process documents to certify Ryan White eligibility for ADAP/HICP and other patient assistance programs.
• Assist clients with obtaining and processing healthcare plan applications during Open Enrollment.
• Maintain and monitor CareWare, DataRx, and other relevant programs to track eligibility, expiration dates, and patient compliance.
• Coordinate, monitor, track, and evaluate insurance enrollment, premium payments, co-pays, and changes in benefits with individuals, agencies, health insurance carriers, pharmacies, and the contracted Pharmacy Benefits Manager.
• Perform data entry and documentation in electronic health records and other databases.
• Provide timely follow-up and communication with clients and staff on deadlines for certification/recertification of eligibility documents.
• Actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with case management to refer clients to other services as appropriate.
