Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown and West Hospitals in Nashville, TN, seek a compassionate nursing professional for a Float department PRN night shift. You will remain at the bedside and provide calm, patient-centered care, while identifying hazards and documenting observations to ensure safety.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma equivalency or one year of related experience. BLS is preferred; crisis prevention certification is also preferred to support a safe care environment.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Certification specializing in Crisis Prevention preferred.

Responsibilities

• Remain at bedside of assigned patient at all times unless relieved by an appropriate staff member.
• Assists in calming and/or reorienting patient in cases of agitation or confusion.
• Remove visible hazards and/or broken equipment from immediate environment and reports as appropriate.
• Record all observations.

Education
