Job summary

Ascension in Tulsa, OK is seeking a dedicated team member for the Float Staffing department. The role involves night shift, full-time hours, and direct bedside patient monitoring under RN supervision.

You will remain at the patient's side, help calm and reorient when needed, and promptly report hazards and observations. A high school diploma or equivalent and 1 year of related experience are required; BLS is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
• BLS Provider preferred.
• Crisis Prevention certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient monitoring activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Remain at bedside of assigned patient at all times unless relieved by an appropriate staff member.
• Assist in calming and/or reorienting patient in cases of agitation or confusion.
• Remove visible hazards and/or broken equipment from immediate environment and report as appropriate.
• Record all observations.

What Minimum Requirements You'll Need

• BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Certification specializing in Crisis Prevention preferred.
