Job summary

Kindred Hospital Denver and Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) seeks an Admissions/Coordinator role to assess patients, coordinate admissions, and educate patients and families about benefits and processes.

Prospective candidates should have strong communication, customer service, and computer skills, with a healthcare background and ability to work under pressure in a busy LTACH environment.

Qualifications

• Education in healthcare and licensure where applicable.
• Two years of clinical patient care/treatment experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid and LTACH payer concepts.
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients, families and referral sources.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments per company standards.
• Educate patients and families on hospital benefits and processes.
• Assist in hospital tours for families and referral sources.
• Coordinate admissions and physician communications as needed.
• Identify patient needs for equipment, supplies and consults.
• Participate in marketing meetings and internal committees.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with regulatory requirements.
