Job summary

ScionHealth in Philadelphia area seeks a patient admissions coordinator to support timely hospital admissions for LTAC and ARU services. You will assess referrals, gather clinical and benefits information, educate patients and families, and coordinate with referral sources, physicians, and internal teams to ensure compliant, efficient admissions.

Ideal candidates have healthcare experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced hospital

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree required; healthcare field preferred.
• Healthcare professional licensure preferred.
• Two years of clinical patient care experience preferred.
• Fluent English reading/writing/speaking.

Responsibilities

• Assess referrals and coordinate admissions with referral sources.
• Educate patients and families on admission processes and benefits.
• Assist in tours of the hospital for families and referral sources.
• Coordinate physician-to-physician communication as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with regulatory requirements.
