Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience with oncology or healthcare systems such as Candid, AssistPoint, OncoEMR, and MOSAIQ preferred; training provided.

Job Description

SCOPE: The Patient Financial Assistance Program Advocate is responsible for helping patients navigate financial assistance programs to reduce financial barriers to care. This role serves as a liaison between patients, providers, internal departments, and external assistance programs to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant access to financial support. The Advocate plays a critical role in patient satisfaction, financial clearance, and organizational mission fulfillment.

FUNCTIONS

• 1. Patient Education & Advocacy: Serve as a trusted resource for patients and families by educating and guiding them through available financial assistance options to reduce barriers to care.
• 2. Eligibility Screening & Application Support: Assess patient eligibility and support accurate, timely completion of financial assistance applications.
• 3. Case Management, Coordination & Follow-Up: Assess patient eligibility and support accurate, timely completion of financial assistance applications.
• 4. Compliance, Quality & Performance Management: Ensure all financial assistance activities are compliant, accurate, and aligned with quality and productivity standards.
