Qualifications

• Interviews patients to obtain correct identification and revenue cycle details.
• Registers patients according to state and federal regulations.
• Discusses HIPAA and Medicare messages with patients during registration.
• Assists patients with questions about financial arrangements and policies.
• Identifies and collects patient financial responsibility when appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients to obtain correct patient identification, demographics, and revenue cycle activities.
• Registers patients according to state and federal regulations, including accurate admission class.
• Completes basic compliance counseling with patients during registration, including HIPAA.
• Assists patients with questions about financial arrangements, billing and policies.
• Identifies and collects patient financial responsibility, when appropriate.
• Collaborates with clinicians and departments to provide an exceptional patient experience.
