Job summary

MyMichigan Health is seeking a dedicated Admitting/Registration Staff member to welcome patients for outpatient procedures, admissions, and related services. You will ensure accurate registration, collect demographics, MSP information, and insurance details to support smooth patient flow.

Responsibilities include answering calls, directing patients, obtaining required signatures, and scanning documents into Cerner.

Qualifications

• Must have good organizational and interpersonal skills to communicate successfully with patients and coworkers.
• CHAA certification preferred.
• One year experience working with insurance, registration and collections preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes and correctly registers patients.
• Directs patients and visitors to the correct locations.
• Collects patient demographics and MSP information; verifies identity.
• Gathers insurance information and copies of insurance cards.
• Answers telephone promptly and transfers calls or returns messages.
• Ensure MSP information to 100% compliance and verify benefits.
• Obtains signatures for consent, ABN, NOC, and Medicare notices.
• Register patients for departments; scan documents in Cerner.
