Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Typing and computer skills courses preferred.
• Medical terminology familiarity preferred.
• Customer service relations and office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patients with information required by federal mandates.
• Receive and provide shift reports at start and end of shifts.
• Obtain consents, assignment of benefits, and releases.
• Gather information on religious preference and affiliation.
• Practice safe transport of patients.
• Initiate inquiries and ensure pre-certification and pre-authorization for services.
