Job summary

Qualifications

• Previous acute care hospital or related experience is required.

• Previous admitting registration or business office experience is a plus.
• Previous customer service experience is beneficial.
• Computer and typing skills are needed.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients or representatives to obtain required demographic and insurance information for registration.
• Obtain authorizations and collect monies on cash accounts or deductible amounts.
• Complete admission packets with all forms and obtain necessary signatures.
• Perform insurance verification and data validation within the system.
• Coordinate with departments to ensure timely admissions, transfers, or discharges.
• Maintain accurate documentation in FUS notes and related systems.
