Job summary

UCI Health is seeking an Admitting Representative to interview patients, collect demographic and insurance details, and ensure efficient registration processes. You will obtain authorizations, collect payments, and prepare admitting packets with signatures and scanned documents.

Ideal candidates have acute care or related experience, strong medical terminology knowledge, and customer service skills. Proficiency in computers and typing is preferred to support insurance verification and chart

Qualifications

• Previous acute care hospital or related experience.
• Strong computer and typing skills.
• Knowledge in Medical Terminology.
• Previous Admitting registration or Business Office experience.
• Previous Customer Service experience.

Responsibilities

• Interview and gather complete and accurate demographic and insurance information to complete the registration process efficiently.
• Obtain authorizations and collect monies on cash accounts or deductible accounts.
• Complete Admitting packets with all appropriate forms and obtain signatures, then scan forms.
• Complete insurance verification on accounts via data validation or passport, and break down charts for departments.
