North Mississippi Health Services, Inc. is seeking an Admission and Discharge Specialist at the Hamilton Primary Care Center to manage patient intake and discharge, welcome patients, collect demographics and insurance information, and support scheduling and billing processes.

The role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and customer service excellence. The position reports to the Administrative Support team and requires strong communication, organizational skills and the ability to navigate

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of administrative/front desk experience in a healthcare setting
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required
• Detail oriented with ability to work in a team and advocate for patients

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients in a courteous manner
• Collect demographic and insurance information and verify eligibility
• Assist with scheduling and patient portal questions
• Process payments and provide receipts
• Maintain front desk and waiting area in an organized manner
• Manage referrals and communicate with providers to ensure smooth transitions
• Review and file patient records in multiple systems
• Support billing review and claims processing tasks
• Ensure supplies are stocked and office operations run smoothly
• Travel between locations as needed by operations
