Note: This position is contingent upon contract award and will be located onsite in the southeast, southwest, or central United States. Travel may be required.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • The Patient Administration Tech (PAT) provides routine and urgent administrative support to ensure efficient healthcare site operations. Responsibilities include:
  • Establishing and maintaining processes for patient reception and assisting staff in improving patient intake procedures.
  • Maintaining patient waiting areas.
  • Registering new patients into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and updating demographic information as needed.
  • Preparing and consolidating medical documents and files; scanning documents into the EMR.
  • Maintaining medical evacuation data and tracking patient location and disposition post-evacuation.
  • Processing patient visit data for reports.
  • Implementing procedures to maximize patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA and local standards.
  • The PAT reports to and is supervised by the clinic Site Lead or designated representative.
  • Performing logistical support tasks such as receiving and routing materials.
  • All services are provided following established standards, principles, and ethics of the profession and are aligned with Acuity's high-quality standards.
Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Patient Administration Tech.
  • Training or employment in a medical facility in an administrative role.
  • Military service as a Patient Administration professional is preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, computer, typing, and organizational skills.
  • Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
  • Participation in training, including HIPAA training.
  • Recent clinical experience in direct patient care, with a minimum of 6 months in the last 12 months in the desired field.
Physical Requirements and Work Conditions:
  • Work is typically performed in an office environment; travel to Iraq is required by surface or air.
  • The climate is desert-like, hot, and prone to dust storms.
