***This position is contingent upon contract award and will be located onsite in either the southeast, southwest, or central United States. Travel will likely be required.***

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. The Patient Administration Tech (PAT) provides routine and urgent administrative support to healthcare sites, ensuring efficient operations. Tasks include:
  2. Establishing and maintaining processes for patient reception and assisting staff in improving patient input methods.
  3. Maintaining patient waiting areas.
  4. Registering new patients into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and updating demographic information.
  5. Preparing and consolidating medical documents and files; scanning documents into the EMR as needed.
  6. Maintaining medical evacuation data and tracking patient location and disposition post-evacuation.
  7. Processing patient visit data for reports.
  8. Establishing procedures to maximize patient privacy in compliance with HIPAA and local standards.
  9. The PAT reports to and is supervised by the clinic Site Lead or designated representative.
  10. Performing routine logistical support tasks such as receiving and routing materials.
  11. Providing services in accordance with professional standards, principles, and ethics, and the high-quality standards of Acuity.
Qualifications:
  1. Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Patient Administration Tech.
  2. Training or employment in a medical facility in an administrative role.
  3. Military service as a Patient Administration professional is preferred.
  4. Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred.
  5. Excellent communication, computer, typing, and organizational skills.
  6. Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
  7. Participation in training, including HIPAA training.
  8. Current clinical experience in direct patient care within the last 6 months in the desired field.
Physical Requirements and Work Conditions:
  1. Work is primarily in an indoor/office environment; travel in Iraq is required by surface or air.
  2. The climate is desert-like, hot, and prone to dust storms.
