Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary front desk contact, greet patients, and assist with appointments, payments, and schedules.
  • Manage multi-line phone systems, screen and route calls, and take messages for staff.
  • Ensure verifications and authorizations are complete before seeing providers.
  • Act as a link between patients and providers, offering support using reference materials.
  • Collaborate with providers on scheduling preferences and urgent needs.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as maintaining directories and processing internal forms.
  • Utilize EMR systems and telephone systems to complete daily tasks accurately.
  • Uphold organizational service standards and enhance patient and staff experience.
  • Address non-clinical inquiries and escalate complex issues when needed.
  • Oversee fax, mail, and filing of clinic documents.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform diverse administrative tasks, including maintaining information and paging directory databases, and processing various internal forms.
  • Leverage the full functionality of telephone systems and electronic medical records systems to execute daily tasks with precision.
  • Uphold and exceed organizational and departmental service standards, contributing to a positive patient and staff experience.
  • Address non-clinical patient inquiries and messages, escalating complex issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Oversee the management and distribution of faxes, mail, and the organized filing of clinic-specific documentation.
Must-Have Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Solid understanding of medical terminology.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and software relevant to administrative functions.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to deliver outstanding customer service, solve problems efficiently, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Familiarity with Windows-based office software, computer operations, and operating systems.A calm and composed demeanor, especially in stressful situations.
  • Be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Not require sponsorship of any kind for the duration of the assignment.
  • Be able to work on a W-2 basis. C2C or 1099 is not permitted for this position.
