Southeast Georgia Health System invites applications for a Billing Clerk within the accounts receivable unit. You will monitor outstanding accounts, prepare and maintain billing records, and liaise with patients and payers to promote timely payments.
The role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with Joint Commission standards. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and clerical experience; CPAR certification preferred.
Monitors the status of outstanding accounts within assigned unit or duty. Prepares and maintains billing, collection, and reimbursement records. All team members of Southeast Georgia Health system will promote a culture of safety, follow established policies, and adhere to all state and federal regulatory requirements, joint commission requirements and national patient safety standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education
High school graduate or equivalent
Experience
Two years clerical in a business office or similar environment preferred
Licensure
Certified Patient Accounts Representative (CPAR) certification preferred
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Ability to operate office equipment including computer applications

High School or better.
Prior Medical billing experience preferred.
