Qualifications

• High school diploma plus specific training in reimbursement/insurance.
• Two years or experience required.
• Mandatory Reporter training certificate a plus; certification is required as an employee within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Submit properly executed claims on a timely basis to guarantors, insurance carriers, and intermediaries; perform rebilling and logging functions.
• Ensure insurance filing and billing policies and procedures are current.
• Facilitate the processing of insurance appeals of problem claims.
• Prepare daily and monthly bills for processing of mailing.
• Provide financial consultations with patients regarding their medical bills and the status of their claims.
