Floyd Valley Healthcare in Le Mars, IA, is seeking a full-time Patient Accounts Coordinator to join our Business Office / Insurance Department. This role oversees timely submission of claims, rebilling activities, and keeps insurance filing policies current.

Responsibilities include preparing daily and monthly bills, and providing financial counseling to patients about their medical bills and claim status. Hours are Monday–Friday, days, with occasional evening or weekend involvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma plus specific training in reimbursement/insurance.
• Two years of experience or more in a related role.
• Mandatory Reporter training is a plus; certification required within six months of employment.

• Oversee submission of properly executed claims on a timely basis to guarantors, insurance carriers, and intermediaries, including rebilling and logging.
• Ensure insurance filing and billing policies are kept current.
• Facilitate processing of insurance appeals for problem claims.
• Prepare daily and monthly bills for mailing.
• Provide financial consultations with patients regarding their medical bills and claim status.
