FutureCare seeks a detail-oriented Patient Accounts Coordinator to manage accounts receivable and admissions data for billing between the facility and Corporate Office. The role supports Medicaid applications, collection letters, and daily census reporting while ensuring HIPAA compliance and accurate data handling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred with evidence of college courses or in accounting.
• Experience Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Previous experience supporting financial teams in a long-term healthcare facility a plus
• Initiative and proactive; willing to take on new and challenging assignments
• Ability to multi-task and support multiple critical functions in a changing and growing environment
• Strong observation skills and keen attention to detail, ability to audit work to identify issues and implement processes to prevent errors
• Excellent critical thinking skills with the ability to solve problems using logic and reasoning
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with other accounting team members, departments, and management

Responsibilities

• Verify medical insurances and collect necessary information
• Input, review, and maintain admissions data
• Conduct daily census reporting
• Complete monthly AR reviews and communicate outstanding balances
• Prepare and issue collection letters and follow-up calls
• Maintain resident funds accounts per State Comar regulations
• Maintain resident information confidentially per HIPAA
• Ensure timely submission of all State Medicaid applications
