Job summary

FutureCare is seeking a Patient Account Coordinator to manage verification of insurance, input and maintenance of admissions data, daily census reporting, and monthly AR reviews to optimize resident accounts.

You will work with facility teams and the Corporate Office to ensure timely billing, submission of Medicaid applications, HIPAA compliance, and communication of outstanding balances. A high school diploma with accounting coursework and proficiency in Microsoft Office are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred with accounting coursework.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• Experience supporting financial teams in a long-term healthcare facility is a plus.
• Initiative and proactive; willing to take on new and challenging assignments.
• Ability to multi-task and support multiple critical functions in a changing and growing environment.
• Strong observation skills and keen attention to detail, ability to audit work to identify issues and implement processes to prevent errors.
• Excellent critical thinking skills with the ability to solve problems using logic and reasoning.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with other accounting team members, departments, and management.

Responsibilities

• Verify medical insurances.
• Input, review, and maintain admissions data.
• Conduct daily census reporting.
• Complete monthly AR reviews and communicate outstanding balances.
• Prepare and issue collection letters, including follow-up calls.
• Maintain resident funds accounts in accordance with State Comar regulations.
• Maintain resident information confidential by staying HIPPA compliant.
• Ensure timely/accurate completion and submission of all State Medicaid applications.
