Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Full-time Billing Operations Supervisor to manage the department's billing, processing and collections, and to oversee refunds and month-end reconciliations to the General Ledger. This role will coordinate the activity of personnel in the assigned area.

The position requires leadership, attention to detail, and experience in patient accounting; a Bachelor's degree is preferred, with high school diploma or GED accepted with relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Patient Accounting experience required

Responsibilities

• Manages the billing, processing and collections of the department.
• Oversees refund processing and month-end reconciliations to the General Ledger.
• Coordinates the activity of personnel in the assigned area.
• Assists with hiring, training, annual performance appraisals, and disciplinary action (if necessary).
• Prepares refunds for third-party payers and maintains reconciliation records.
